Verbum allows you to set the default Bible version that will appear when you click a Bible reference in a resource, when you perform a search, or any other time you open a Bible.

Desktop
There are three ways to set your Top Bible: through the Top Bible card on the Dashboard, through the Command Box, and through prioritized books.
Verbum displays a card in the Get Started section of your Dashboard that allows you to set your Top Bible with just a click. Note that once dismissed, this card cannot be displayed again. If you have dismissed the card and wish to change your Top Bible, continue reading.
The Command Box will be accessed in a slightly different way, depending on whether you have Verbum configured with the Application Toolbar at the top or on the left. (For details on changing this, please see this article)
If you have the toolbar at the top, the command box will appear just to the right of the Tools icon.
If you have the toolbar on the left, and in expanded view, the command box will appear just to the right of the Verbum icon.
If you have the toolbar on the left, and in compact view, click the Verbum icon to open the command box.
Then, to set your Top Bible from the Command box, type set preferred bible to followed by the translation’s title or abbreviation of your preferred translation from the list of options and press Enter. It’s that simple.

Open the Library by clicking the Library icon

Type the name or abbreviation of the desired Bible version in the Library search box.

Select the Bible, right-click it, and click Prioritize this book. This will open the Library’s prioritize pane and add the Bible to the list.

Note: You can also click the Library’s information icon
and then select the Prioritize Books icon
. Then, click and drag the Bible into the prioritize pane.

Drag your Top Bible to the top of the Prioritize Books list. This prioritizes your selected Bible version over every other Bible version.
Your Top Bible will now be displayed any time Verbum opens a Bible passage. You can change your Top Bible any time by following these same steps.
Web App
To set your Top Bible:

Open a Bible by clicking the Bible icon

Click the cover dropdown to select the Bible you'd like to make your Top Bible.

Select the Tools tab.

Click Set as Top Bible.
Your Top Bible will now be displayed any time Verbum opens a Bible passage. You can change your Top Bible any time by following these same steps.
Mobile
When you run guides, use tools, or open a reference in the Verbum mobile app, your top Bible opens. To change your top Bible:

Open the main menu.
Tap the More Items Menu icon

Scroll down to Settings and choose Set Top Bible.

Locate your preferred Bible version.
Scroll or search to find your preferred default Bible version. Only Bibles in your Library show in the Top Bible list, so your list is customized to your subscription and purchased books.
Your selection is now the default Bible version anytime you select a reference in Verbum. It’s also the top Bible for any guides or tools you use. In the future, the quickest way to open your Bible is with the Bible icon
