How to Update Verbum

A new Verbum update is released every 6 weeks. How can you make sure you have the latest version?

 

Automatically Download Updates

This will ensure that you will receive all future updates automatically.

  1. Click Tools > Utilities > Program Settings.

  2. Scroll down to Internet and make sure Automatically Start Downloads is set to Yes.

Manually Download Updates

This will ensure that you have updates that were not automatically downloaded yet.

  1. Type “update now” in the Command box.

  2. Select “Update now” under Tools.

Note: If your software is already up-to-date, the following message box will appear in the lower right corner.

Check Your Version Level

  1. Click the more actions icon   in the toolbar and click About Verbum.

  2. In the About Verbum panel that appears, the number below SOFTWARE indicates the current software version while the color indicator will be green if Logos is up to date.

Note: If automatic updates have been disabled in Program Settings, you may also see the option to Update now below the SOFTWARE version number.

 

Troubleshooting Problems with Updating the Software

There are a number of things to check if the software will not update.

  1. Verbum will not run on some older operating system versions. See this article to see minimum requirements and ensure that your operating system satisfies those.

  2. Verbum has the concept of an update channel and, unless running beta software, this should normally be set to default. To ensure this is the case, set it from the Verbum command box:

Update from the Web

Click here and install download the installer for the operating system you're using.
