Hide Books

What can you do if you have books in your Verbum library that you know you're never going to use? Maybe they're in a language you can't read, or you prefer a different version of the same resource. Verbum doesn't allow you to delete books and removing them from your local installation simply offloads them to the cloud.

The solution? Hide unwanted books. Using Program Settings, you can quickly and easily hide books so they don’t appear in your Library, Search, etc.

  1. Open your Library (docking this panel by dragging the Library icon to the left or right side of the main Verbum display will make the rest of the process much easier).
  2. Click the Help Panel Menu icon at the bottom of the app Toolbar and select Program Settings.

Note: This may open Program Settings in a floating window. You can choose to dock this panel as well, but the process works the same whether the panel is floating or docked in your main display.

  3. Scroll down to the Hidden Books section and expand it.
  4. Drag the books you want to hide from the Library panel to the Hidden Books section.

Drag Books To Hidden Books Section

Unhide Books

To unhide a book, navigate to the Hidden Books section of Program Settings. You can either:

  1. Hover over a book and click the x; or
  2. Right-click a book and click Unhide.

Unhide Books By Clicking The X Or Right Clicking And Selecting Unhide

Verbum will immediately begin downloading and indexing the unhidden books.
