Install Verbum Bible Software | Windows

You will need to either sign in and purchase a Verbum subscription or choose to install the free Verbum desktop app in step 1 below. Follow the steps below to install Verbum Bible Software for Windows.

Step 1 - Download VerbumSetup

Download the VerbumSetup.exe file to install Verbum Bible Software from here. Ensure you are logged in to verbum.com with the account you used to purchase Verbum.

Step 2 - Install Verbum

1. Open the VerbumSetup.exe file from the Downloads folder (if your browser only gives you a Save option, click Save and then double-click the file from your downloads menu or downloads folder to run the installer).
2. Choose the installation language from the popup menu.The Verbum setup program will now download the required initial setup files.
3. When the Verbum Bible Software Setup screen appears, click Next and follow the on-screen prompts, such as accepting the license agreement and choosing a setup type (we recommend Typical), to complete the installation.
   
4. Click Install. This will install Verbum Bible Software on your computer; it may take a few minutes.
5. Click Finish to complete the installation.

Note: You may be asked to reboot your computer during the installation process.

Step 3 - Sign in to your Account

1. Open Verbum. If Verbum does not automatically open, double-click the Verbum Bible Software icon to open it.
2. Sign into Verbum. Sign in with your Verbum.com email and password. Signing in for the first time may take a while. Please do not interrupt the process.

Step 4 - Download and Index

After you login, Verbum will ask you to download your Library. There are a number of different download options available from the dropdown. We recommend choosing Full Download for the optimal experience. Then click Continue.

Verbum will install and download your library. The download process may take a while. Please do not interrupt the process.

Note: Once the download process is finished, it will index what has been downloaded. The whole process may take a number of hours depending on the Library, and computer specifications.

Once the download has completed, the program will open to your Dashboard, and you will be able to start using Verbum. 

Note: Even though you can start using the software at this point, it might still be indexing which may impact performance.
