Verbum Crashes on an AMD Computer | Windows

What to Do If Verbum Is Crashing When Using an AMD Graphics Card

Problem

For some customers whose machine uses an AMD graphics card an application named  called Plays.TV is installed on your computer. Plays.TV may cause Verbum Bible Software to crash.

Solution(s)

Solution 1: Uninstall Plays.TV (Recommended)

  1. From the Start menu in the bottom left search for "Programs and Features" and open the program.
  2. Find Plays.TV, select it, and press the Uninstall button at the top of the window.
  3. Delete the Plays.TV directory from your computer (C:\Program Files (x86)\Raptr Inc\PlaysTV is the default location)

Note: you will need to opt out of any future installations of Plays.TV from the Raptr Gaming Evolved app, which may attempt to automatically install when you update your drivers unless you uncheck the install option.

Solution 2: Close the Plays.TV application

If you wish to retain the Plays.TV app on your machine, you must close the client prior to starting up Verbum Bible Software. Clicking the "X" in the top right corner of the app window will only minimize the client to the system tray. To ensure that it is fully closed right-click on the Plays.TV icon in the system tray and click Quit (as shown in the image below).

Once you have closed the Plays.TV client, restart Verbum Bible Software.
