Graph Results

The Graph Results feature visually displays results from your Bible or Morph searches, or from your search results in the Bible Word Study Guide.

 

Graph your Search Results

  1. Enter your search query in a Bible or Morph search and press Enter. 
  1. After Verbum displays your search results, click the Graph results iconin the Search toolbar.
  1. Verbum will open a new panel displaying the Graph Bible Search Results.
  1. Enter your term in the Bible Word Study search box and press enter.
  1. You can open Graph Bible Search Results in a new window by clicking the sparkline  in the Bible Word Study panel.

 

Graph Types

 

 

  • Result Map displays your search results in each of the major divisions of the Bible. Hovering over a search result opens a tooltip displaying the verse. Clicking a search result opens that passage in a new window. You can zoom in and out using the scroll button on your mouse.

 

 

  • Bar Chart displays your search results in a horizontal orientation. Hovering over a bar opens a tooltip displaying the number of search results in that biblical book. You can change the statistical category to display by clicking the Number of Results drop-down list. To display or hide books with zero search results, click Show zero items in the toolbar .

 

 

  • Column Chart displays your search results in a vertical orientation. Hovering over a bar opens a tooltip displaying the number of search results in that biblical book. You can change the statistical category to display by clicking the Number of Results drop-down list. To display or hide books with zero search results, click Show zero items in the toolbar.

 

 

  • Pie Chart displays the number of search results per book in relation to the total number of search results. Hovering over a section of the pie displays a tooltip showing the number of search results in that biblical book.

 

 

Customizing your search results graph

Bible Versions

Graph results displays your search results in the Bible version(s) you used to search. Typically, these are your Top Bibles, or a Greek or Hebrew Bible. To change the Bible version(s) displayed in each graph, click the Bible version name in the toolbar and check or uncheck versions you would like to display or hide. To display a Bible version that is not shown, you need to perform a new search of that version.

 

Colors

You can toggle between color and grayscale graphs in the Bar Chart, Column Chart, and Pie Chart by clicking the Colored and Gray Scale buttons in the toolbar. 

 

Printing or Exporting your Search Results Graph

You can export your search results graph by clicking the Graph Bible Search Results panel menu and selecting Print/Export. You can also press Ctrl+P (Windows) or Cmd+P (Mac). This opens a new window displaying print and export options.

 

Printing

You can change the page margins by clicking the Margins menu on the left. You can change the layout of the graph by selecting Print as shown on screen or Print as exported. To print, click the Print icon on the right. For more information about the Print dialog, see the Print/Export article.

 

Exporting

You can copy the graph to your clipboard by selecting the Copy to clipboard link. You can also export your graph to text, image, or PDF file formats by selecting the relevant export option.
